Distal Radius Fracture

Colles’ Fracture
A distal radius fracture with dorsal displacement — the classic “dinner fork” deformity. Treated with the Short Arm Immobilizer in appropriate cases following reduction.
Scaphoid Fracture
Requires thumb spica immobilization to include the scaphoid in the immobilization zone. FlexiOH offers a dedicated Thumb Spica configuration for scaphoid fractures.
Smith’s Fracture
A distal radius fracture with volar displacement. Treated with the Short Arm Immobilizer following reduction, with appropriate positioning maintained by the light-cured polymer.
Barton’s Fracture
An intra-articular distal radius fracture. Treated with the Short Arm Immobilizer in stable, non-surgical cases. Surgical cases may use FlexiOH post-operatively.
Ulnar Styloid Fracture

Product and study context: A 2024 open-label study evaluated the FlexiOH Short Arm Immobilizer in 137 adults aged 18–80 with distal-radius fractures. The authors reported healing at the third follow-up. This was not a controlled comparison of healing speed, and its findings do not establish pediatric outcomes or guarantee an individual result.
